Buyer's Guide

The 2020+ CR-V has had the oil dilution issue mostly resolved through software updates. The 2012-2016 2.4L models are extremely reliable if you avoid the AC issues. If buying a 2017-2019, confirm the oil dilution software update has been applied and check the dipstick for gas smell. The CR-V Hybrid (2020+) is the best version if you do city driving. The 3rd generation (2007-2011) is still a rock-solid budget buy.
